The Coalition of Oodua Self Determination Groups (COSEG) has described the death of the Spokesman for Afenifere, Yinka Odumakin as a monumental loss to the Yoruba nation.
In a statement issued on Saturday, 3 April, 2021 in Lagos, the group described the late Afenifere leader as a consummate nationalist, who gave all he had to the good of the nation and the Yoruba race in particular.

COSEG in the press release signed by the Chairman of its Coordinating Council, Comrade Ifedayo Ogunlana stated that the death of Odumakin at this time is a huge loss to the human rights community and the Yoruba nation.
According to the group, “the news of the demise of one of our great brother, Mr Yinka Odumakin came to us as a ride shock. He was a patriot who believe in the greatness of this country and especially the Yoruba race. He gave all he had to the emancipation of the Yoruba race. He will be greatly missed”.
The group also commiserated with his widow and the entire family of Odumakin, praying for the fortitude for them to bear the irreparable loss of a great activist.
Odumakin died on Saturday, 3 April, 2021 in Lagos.
