Ojokoro LCDA Boss Condemns Jungle Justice, Advises Residents To Remain Law-abiding

The Chairman of Ojokoro Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, Hon. Hammed Idowu D. Tijani has condemned the act of people taking laws into their hands without following due process.

Tijani, who spoke on African Independent Television (AIT) live programme, KAKAAKI and RAY POWER radio programmes on Thursday, August 17, 2017, blamed the act which is generally known as “jungle justice” on ignorance of the people who engaged in such unlawful act.

The council boss condemned the recent lynching of two suspected ritualists at Obadeyi area, along Lagos-Abeokuta expressway in Ojokoro LCDA. He said that people should endeavour to find out the fact of any matter before they take action to avoid punishing innocent people unnecessarily.

The council Chairman also urged people in the council area to go about their lawful duties without any fear of intimidation or harassment as law enforcement agents are still investigating the issue of a suspected kidnappers’ den allegedly discovered in the area.
