As we all warm up to another general elections come February 2015, the words of the Holy book, comes in handy in Matthew 7:9, “Of what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
Today, we have two options confronting us in the choice of the President of the federal republic of Nigeria and like renowned Professor Akin Oyebode said in his analysis of the Ekiti gubernatorial elections, the people had an option choosing between gold and lead and instead unlike in sane clime and against logic chose lead and they have already started stewing in their juice with their Balotelli Stuntsman displaying his theatrics.
Unlike what happened in Ekiti state, one hopes the people of Nigeria will realize that this is another June 12 opportunity knocking on the door as they are confronted with the option of choosing between an APC Mohammadu Buhari and Yemi Osibajo, two distinguished men of honour, character, discipline, integrity and orderliness and PDP Goodluck Jonathan and Namadi Sambo, two men who believe that stealing is not corruption and whose reign in office today brings back to memory the sad days of General Ibrahim Babangida who promoted corruption and instituted it as a state policy.
Nigerians, the choice is yours again to choose between gold and lead, because as you make your bed, so will you lie on it.
A word is enough for the wise!
