The people of Osun state, southwest, Nigeria have been advised not to give in to the deceit and lies of the opposition political party, Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) as they file out to elect their governor in August 9th, 2014.
A chieftain of the All Progressives Party (APC) and Special Adviser to Osun State Governor on Environment and Sanitation, Mr Bola Ilori gave the advice in Osogbo on Wednesday, 29th July, 2014, while addressing journalists in the state capital.
Ilori posited that allowing PDP to rule the state again will bring backwardness and retrogression to the state.
According to him, PDP and its candidate are pathological lairs and they would not but lie with impunity to grab the resources of the state.
His words: ”PDP is author and finisher of lies. They have a father in Satan who is the father of lies”
Ilori also stated that PDP and its candidate lacked capacity to rule the state, stressing that the party is bereft of the idea to rule the state having rule for seven years with nothing concrete to show.
On the allegation that Governor Rauf Aregbesola has not been paying salary in the state regularly as claimed by PDP, Ilori said this was another figment from the imagination of the party as Osun governor had even paid the salary of July which has not ended since July 25.
He said PDP states of Benue and Bayelsa are owing their workers for eight and five months respectively and those at the helm of affairs in the state have not been crucified.
The Special Adviser maintained that the reason why PDP does not get it right in governance was because the party is mundane in thinking and promote mediocrity.
He lambasted the opposition for criticising Rauf Aregbesola, saying that the candidate of PDP is claiming righteousness when he is not, disclosing that all the vehicles of Omisore bear numbers from Lagos and Abuja.
Ilori also said those claiming to love the state, 70 percent of their cars does not have a single number from the state.
He urged the people of the state to vote massively for APC in the August 9 governorship election, saying the government has kept faith with the people through good and people oriented programmes.
On security during election, he urged the security agencies to work within the ambient of the law and never be biased or allowed to be used by PDP during the election.
