Police Rescue Kidnapped Children In Sagamu

Police in Lagos State have rescued two children, who were a few days ago kidnapped by their new maid, at their Magodo home, in Isheri area of Lagos State.

The police have also reportedly arrested the maid identified as Juliet, who took the children to a hideout in Sagamu area of Ogun State.

The image maker in charge of the state police command, Kenneth Nwosu, confirmed the rescue of the children to the Nigerian Tribune and added that the children had been reunited with the parents.

The Nigerian Tribune gathered that the police, while acting on intelligence reports, traced the two children, Michael and Raphael, to a building in Sagamu, where the kids were rescued.

The twenty-four-year-old housemaid absconded with the children last Sunday, less than a week after she was employed to take care of the kids.

The parents of the abducted children, Elvis and Onajite, had gone shopping in preparation for the birthday of one of the children, when the maid disappeared with the children.

Nwosu, while confirming the latest development was sure that the children were rescued by the police in Sagamu.

Nwosu claimed not to have been properly briefed, but promised to get back to the Nigerian Tribune; but as of the time of filing this report, he had not.
