As Muslims begin this year’s holy month of Ramadan the wife of the executive governor of Kogi state, Mrs Rashida Bello has called on faithfuls to use the holy month to pray for Kogi state and Nigeria.
Mrs Bello made the call to Muslim faithfuls in a Ramadan message signed by her Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity Mrs Olamide Adesoro, She identified good intention, prayers and pursuit of good deeds as conditions for reaping spiritual and physical benefits of Ramadan.
In the statement, she urged all Muslims to dutifully participate and observe the Ramadan fast as it is one of the pillars of Islam.
She then enjoined the Islamic clerics and scholars to educate Muslims on the true teachings of Islam.
She also congratulated Muslims in Kogi state for the 2016 holy month and pray Almighty Allah to see them through the holy month.
