Retired President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Isa Salami is the Chairman of the Presidential Investigative Panel probing allegations levelled against suspended acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, reports The Gazelle News.com.
On Tuesday, 7 July, 2020, President Muhammadu ordered the suspension of the acting EFCC boss.
Justice Salami is from the North Central geo-political zone.
Other members of the panel include: Mallam Shamsudeen from the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation from the North East zone; Deputy Inspector General of Police Mike Ogbizi representing the South South region from the Nigeria Police Force; Hassan Abdullahi from the North West zone representing the Directorate of State Security (DSS); Douglas Ekwueme, South East zone repressing the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU); Kazeem Atitebi from the South West zone representing Civil Society Organisation (CSO); and Mohammed Abubakar from the North Central zone representing the Federal Ministry of Justice (FMoJ).
