The former Chairman of Yaba Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Jide Jimoh has condemned the advert sponsored by Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Ayodele Fayose against Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, saying a right thinking person would not do something of such.
He disclosed this in Lagos at the Lagos Mainland flag off campaign for the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidates.
Jimoh who is contesting for a House of Representatives seat to represent Lagos Mainland Federal Constituency frowned at Governor Fayose’s advert adding that it is disrespectful.
“A right thinking person would not do something of such by wishing a fellow human being death. Governor Fayose act is disrespectful to the personality of General Mohammadu Buhari,” he said
“What I want the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to know is that as much as they are wishing Muhammadu Buhari dead, he gained popularity and support to win the presidential election from Nigerians”.
He maintained that the crowd pulled by Muhammadu Buhari in Kano and other states showed that President Goodluck Jonathan and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have lost the election.
“APC is a party that will salvage Nigerians from bad leadership. People must choose the right person that will safe the future of the country.
“This is part of what we are demonstrating here today, that APC is on ground to create enabling environment for all to enjoyed good governance at its best.
“Whether PDP like it or not, Nigerians will vote for change in next month general elections. We are united to bring positive change to Nigeria in all sectors through our party because we are tired of canker worm party that have thrown us into abject poverty and rotten economy,” he said
Speaking at the campaign ground,the APC leader in the area, Hon. Kayode Olowu appealed to Nigerians to collect their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs) and also protect their votes.
According to him, “I want to urge you to vote for all APC candidates and stand by your votes. We will use our PVCs to wage war against the opposition”.
During the campaign, Arewa community drummed support for Buhari and all APC candidates in Lagos State, saying the party is capable of solving Nigeria’s problems.
