The police at Ilese Divisional Headquarters of Ogun State Police Command have arrested seven suspects for attempting to kill a man, Dare Okanlawon.
The victim who is a native of ijebu Imushin had entered a restaurant owned by one Mrs. Queen Omonigbo at Oke Ola, Ilese ijebu to have his breakfast.
The owner of the restaurant was said to have met him asking questions from her daughter and she immediately raised a false alarm accusing Dare of attempting to kidnap her daughter.
Miscreants around who responded to the false alarm used dangerous weapons like bottles, heavy sticks and cutlass on the victim inflicting various degrees of injuries on him before he was rescued by police officers who got there on time.
According to the Police Public Relation Officer of the State, DSP Muyiwa Adejobi, seven suspects were arrested and after investigation, Queen Omonigbo, female, Abraham Adenuga, male and Samson Masebinu, male confessed to wounding the victim.
The three suspects have been charged to Chief Magistrate Court 1, Ijebu Ode with case number MIJ/176c/2014 on Friday, 2nd May, 2014 while the rest have been released on bail.
