The Minister of Youth and Social Development, Mr Sunday Dare has assured the acting President of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN), Olamide George that the ministry will partner with the body to move athletics forward in the country.
Dare disclosed this in a Tweet on his Tweeter handle on Friday, 3 January, 2020 when the acting AFN President visited his office.
The Minister stated that the ministry will not have anything to do any ‘renegade’ or ‘autonomous’ group.
Dare stated further that the ministry will share plans on all issues affecting athletics and athletes particularly on the issue of prompt payment of allowances for athletes.
