For the second time in three days, the primary election to pick the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Kosofe Federal Constituency did not hold as protests again marred the exercise.
The first exercise that was billed to hold on Sunday, 7th December, 2014, could not take place as there were series of protests against the exercise which necessitated the decision of the party leadership to order a rerun on Tuesday, 9th December, 2014.
However, again the exercise could not hold.
There are three major contestants jostling for the ticket: the incumbent, Dayo Bush-Alebiosu; current Lagos State Commissioner for Housing, Bosun Jeje; and former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Rotimi Agunsoye.
In 2011, Bosun Jeje won the primary but was prevailed upon by the party leadership to concede the ticket to Bush-Alebiosu as part of the reconciliation exercise in the party then.
