Two time former member of the Lagos Sate House of Assembly, Hon Micheal Olanrewaju Ogunyemi will replace Dr Wale Ahmed as the state Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Thegazellenews.com further gathered exclusively that immediate past state Commissioner for Special Duties and ex-Chairman of Mushin Local Government, Olaseye Oladejo will replace Joe Igbokwe as the state Publicity Secretary of the party.
Thegazellenews.com also learnt further that a female lawyer from Ikeja Local Government has been pencilled down to replace Mrs Toke Benson as the state Assistant Legal Adviser of the party.
The changes came as a result of the inauguration of the trio of Ahmed, Igbokwe and Benson as cabinet members in the administration of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.
While Dr Ahmed was appointed the state Commissioner for Special Duties and Inter-governmental Relations; both Igbokwe and Toke Benson were appointed Special Advisers on Water Resources/Drainages and Housing respectively.
Thegazellenews.com further learnt exclusively that the new appointments were announced at the state meeting of the party on Thursday by the state Chairman of the party, Alhaji Ibrahim Babatunde Balogun.
A member of the state executive council present at the meeting told thegazellenews.com that Balogun told the gathering that the new appointments have been endorsed by the leadership and elders of the party in the state.
Sources from the meeting told thegazellenews.com that the new appointments were greeted with wide applause and approval when the APC Chairman spoke.
Ogunyemi represented Ojo State Constituency 2 in the 7th and 8th Legislative Seesions of the Lagos State House of Assembly. Prior to that, he Special Adviser on Political Matters to then Deputy Governor, Femi Pedro while he was state Secretary of the Alliance for Democracy (AD) between 2001 and 2003.
Seye Oladejo was Secretary to the Local Government (SLG) for Mushin Local Government between 1999 and 2002 when Senator Ganiyu Olanrewaju Solomon was Chairman.
He was later appointed Executive Secretary of the Local Government before he was substantively elected as the Chairman of the Local Government.
He was Special Adviser on Commerce and Industry to Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN before his appointment as a Comissioner in the regime of Akinwunmi Ambode.
