About 15 bodies have been evacuated from the scene of the hotel that collapsed inside the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) on the afternoon of Friday, 12th September, 2014.
The church is located at Ikotun, a densely populated community in Alimoso Local Government Area of Lagos State, the most populous local government in the state with the most population in Nigeria, Africa’s most populous country.
Thegazellenews.com’s correspondent at the scene of the incident said scores of people are still trapped inside the collapsed hotel.
Part of the hotel building collapsed on the afternoon of Friday, 12th September, 2014 leaving many people dead, scores still trapped and many injured.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Authority (LASEMA) officials are fully on ground at the scene evacuating dead people and injured ones for onward transfer to the general hospitals at Isolo and Igando.
The agency’s Public Relations Officer (PRO), Adebayo confirmed the incident assuring on the presence of the agency’s officials at the scene. He confirmed in a statement that some people trapped in the collapsed building.
Adebayo stated further that rescue operation was still on as at the time of this report.
