Jummai Abubakar, the last surviving wife of late Prime Minister Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, dies, aged 85.
Hajara Yakubu Wanka, a granddaughter of the late PM, confirmed the news of Jummai’s death.
Agency report quotes Wanka as attributing the cause of death to a cardiac seizure. She died 4.00pm on Saturday in Lagos.
The cardiac seizure reportedly occurred suddenly as the deceased was hale and hearty before the attack.
She would be buried in Bauchi State on Monday.

The late Prime Minister Abubakar Tafawa Balewa was believed to have been killed by mutineers, who seized him from his home on 15 January, 1966.
He was aged 53 at the time of the fatal attack.
The late PM married four wives, among them the deceased. The wives were Jummai, Umma, Zainab and Laraba.
