Since her election into the Lagos State House of Assembly in 2019 to represent Amuwo Odofin State Constituency 1, Honourable Mojisola Alli-Macaulay has no constiruency office as required by law, reports The Gazelle News.com.
This was one of the major reason, a group, Amuwo Odofin Stakeholders Consultative Forum is seeking her recall from the Assembly.
In a letter to the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Mahmoud Yakubu dated Monday, 2 November, 2020, the group also accused Alli-Macaulay of not having sponsored any bill or supported one since her election into the Assembly.
The letter was signed by Ambassador Kingsley Nwanze and Comrade Gbenga N Akinbinu, Convener and Secretary respectively of the group. Copies of the letter were forwarded to the Resident Electoral Commissioner in Lagos State and the Electoral Officer in Amuwo-Odofin Local Government.
The Amuwo-Odofin Stakeholders Consultative Forum also accused the lawmaker of not using her representation to bring positive infrastructure development to the constituency.
“She has consistently refused to render account of her stewardship to her constituents while also remaining inaccessible to her constituents. The few times she comes to the constituency, she has always been in company of security agents,” the group said.
The group stated that the Lawmaker recently distributed #COVID-19 Palliatives meant for the people of her constiruency as souvenirs during her birthday celebrations.
She was also accused of calling Nigerian Youths drug addicts during one of the plenary sessions in the House.
The letter was acknowledged received in the office of the INEC Chairman on Monday, 2 November, 2020.
