Tinubu Support Group(TSG), a pro Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu group, has reacted to comments credited to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan’s aide, Reno Omokri, which frowned at Tinubu’s monetary support for Katsina Traders whose market got burnt recently.
Omokri had tweeted that Asiwaju Tinubu’s charity should first begin at home to be taken seriously.
But TSG said dividing and inciting Nigerians for almost everything will not lead naysayers like Omokri anywhere.
The group declared that Asiwaju is a frontline bridge builder and nationalist who would stop at nothing to do whatever would continue to foster unity and peaceful coexistence amongst all entities in the country.
The TSG Head of media and Publicity, Oluwatosin Johnson who signed the statement noted that Tinubu is a pan-Nigerian statesman and philanthropist that has long been engaged in philanthropic activities and will not stop now due to the rantings of a few tribal jingoists.
“We understand that you are a tribalist who seeks to divide the nation along tribal lines.
“Asiwaju is a man that has continued to show love and support to all tribes in Nigeria devoid of tribal lineage.
“We believe his support to the people of Katsina at this trying times is worthy of commendation and not condemnation,” the group said.
TSG charged the general public to ignore such gullible statements and continue to support the efforts of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to unite Nigeria as one strong nation.
