US President Donald Trump has confirmed the death of former ISIS leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in a telecast monitored by the gazellenews on Sunday.
Until his death, the terrorist leader was world’s most wanted man.
President Trump narrates how the al-Baghdadi, who he said was under the radar of his presidency for over three years, was killed in a special operation by American troops.
“He (al-Baghdadi) didn’t die a hero, he died like a coward, like a dog, whimpering and crying,” said an elated Trump.
The gazellenews.com gathered that US helicopters dropped forces in an area of Idlib province in northwest Syria, where the tunnel the ISIS leader hid, was located.
Speaking, President Trump said the US forces, before hitting their target, had sought and got the clear in Russia-held territory and cooperation from Iraq.
President Trump said neither countries knew the US exact mission.
“We told the Russians we are coming in.
“They didn’t know what our mission was.”
He added that the terrorist leader died alongside children and many of its foot soldiers equally died in the raid.
“They were surrounded by massive air power”.
The US “lost nobody” said Trump, who says he watched the operation in the Situation Room along with Vice President Mike Pence, among others.
Al-Baghdadi became the leader of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Leviant, ISIL in 2010 following the death of his predecessor, Abu Omar al-Baghdadi.
