Real Madrid were forced to a 2-2 draw by Borussia Dortmund at the Signa Iduna Park on in Group F of match day 2 of the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Raphael Varane scored for Madrid while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Andre Schuerrle were on target for Dortmund.
In the 43rd minute, Aubameyang drew Dortmund level after Keylow Navas misjudged a free-kick.
On the stroke of half time Ronaldo had the ball in the back of the net but was flagged off for offside.
Varane made it 2-1 to Madrid on 68 minutes tapping from close range following karim Benzema’s initial effort which came off the bar.
And in the 87th minute Schuerrle equalised for Dortmund smashing in a left-foot strike to end the game 2-2.
At the King Power Stadium, Super Eagles forward, Ahmed Musa replaced Jamie Vardy as Leicester City pip FC Porto 1-0 in group G to make it two wins out of two games.
Algerian striker, Islam Slimani, scored the only goal heading in Riyad Mahrez cross.
And in group E, Tottenham Hotspurs bounced back from their opening day loss to AS Monaco by beating CSKA Moscow 1-0 thanks to Son Heung-Min’s goal.
In other results, Monaco played 1-1 at home against Bayer Leverkusen in group E, sporting Lisbon beat Legia Warszawa in group F, Copenhagen thrashed Club Brugge 4-0 in group G, Juventus thumped Dinamo Zagreb 4-0 away in group H while Sevilla defeated Lyon 1-0 also in group H.
