The acting Vice Chancellor, Osun State University,(UNIOSUN), Osogbo Professor Oguntola Jelil Alamu, has assured workers in the institution of better living conditions aiming at enhancing their productivity.
Prof. Alamu gave this assurance recently at the 3rd anniversary of Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions (NASU) of the varsity held at its Osogbo campus.
According to the acting VC, if workers are given their rights as at when due, they would put in their best in service delivery thus contributing to the growth of the university.
Alamu, who was conferred with an award of “NASU Most Friendly Vice-Chancellor” by NASU in marking his 100 days in office as acting VC said his administration will partner with workers to make progress.
He said: “we will continue to work as partners in progress with NASU and I advise NASU and other workers to be more dedicated in their duties.”
Speaking, the varsity NASU chairman, Comrade Isaiah Fayemi lauded the acting VC saying his leadership style has brought unprecedented progress and development to the university.
Fayemi said “the fruit of your leadership style is what we are enjoying today. There is now peace of mind and body in our university. The divine and perfect combination of people of like minds (Governing council and management members) has reflected in the recent rating by Webometrics where Osun state University was rated 2nd best state university and 20th best university in Nigeria.”
He therefore declared that NASU will continue to put in its best and be more committed to work in order to develop the institution.
