British number one Andy Murray is through to the 3rd round at the ongoing 2016 Wimbledon Open after coming out of a tricky match with in-form Taiwan world number 76 Yen-Hsun Lu.
Murray defeated Lu in straight sets 6-3 6-2 6-1 and will next face John Millman of Australia, who beat French 26th seed Benoit Paire. Speaking after his victory, Murray acknowledged the difficulty he faces against his Taiwan opponent, he said: “The first set was tough.”
“There were a lot of close games.” he further stated. “I managed to hang on at the end of the first set, settled down towards the end of the second, and was hitting the ball much better in third and feeling more comfortable.
“If you can win matches easily it does help because you can rest. It has been a good start. “I will just try and do my best – work hard, keep my head down and hopefully have a good tournament,” he concluded.
