The National President and entire members of the Government Secondary School Ilorin Old Boys Association have applauded the Kwara State Governor, Alhaji AbdulRahaman AbdulRasak for the tremendous feats recorded by his administration in office in the last one year.
This commendation was contained in a press release signed by National President of the Association, Eng. Suleiman Yahaya Alapansanpa.
Alapansanpa noted that within the space of one year in office, the present administration has made significant impact, particularly in the areas of road infrastructure, human capital development and education.
According to him, renovation of some public schools in the three senatorial districts of Kwara state will create a condusive learning for the students and boost the student performance in any examination.
Most notably, the National President said the Old Boys Association identified with the quantum leap being taken in the educational sector, which included massive infrastructural upliftment of many public schools in the State, stressing that the effort was capable of restoring the State’s lost glory in the educational sector.
Alapansanpa utilised the medium to make passionate plea to the Governor to come to the aid of GSS Ilorin by complimenting the efforts of the Old Boys to uplift it’s decaying infrastructure, considering the pivotal place of the school as the first in the State and through which several good products had been churned out.
Alapansanpa appreciated the Governor for considering it worthy to appoint some Old students of the school to serve in his cabinet, assuring him of their continuous progressive input into the State’s governance.
