Dear Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC )and fellow Lagosians,
On this sacred day of Good Friday when we commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus Christ on the cross for the salvation of humanity, we join Christians across the nation and the world in reflecting on the profound sacrifice and love of our Lord Jesus Christ for our redemption.
His selflessness, love, and ultimate act of suffering as an atonement for the sins of man remind us of the values of humility, charity, forgiveness, and service to our fellow brothers and sisters.
As a political party, let us draw strength from His example, by committing ourselves to promoting unity, progress for the collective good of our great nation.
As we meditate on the significance of Christ’s death on the cross, may we never take His sacrifice for granted. Amen.
As it is written in John 19:28-30, “It is finished…”, Just as Jesus declared the end of His earthly mission, we proclaim that every affliction and tribulation in our lives shall also come to an end.Amen.
My dear people, this is a season of renewal, and we welcome you all into your renewal; spiritually and politcally, your season of breakthrough, peace, and divine favour.
Let this Good Friday inspire us to continue working together as one people, united in purpose and vision for the good of all and sundry. The challenges we face as a nation are not insurmountable, and with faith in God, personal resilience, and a shared commitment to progress, we shall overcome.Amen.
