In a spectacular, warmly spirited and highly motivated electioneering campaign, the Directorate of Professional Women for the TinubuShettima and SanwoOluHamzat Independent Campaign Council (ICC) took its ‘operation no to voter apathy’ campaign amongst the elites and professionals to the highbrow area of the Government Reserved Area (GRA) Ikeja, Lagos State to mobilize, orientate and galvanize more supports and votes for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu amongst the elites and professionals working and living in the gated community.

The “operation no to voter apathy campaign” train criss-crossed the entire GRA Ikeja to seek the elites and professionals support for our presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Saturday, 25 February and Mr. Babajide SanwoOlu’s re-election as the Governor of Lagos State on Saturday, 11 March, 2023.

Engr. Atinuke Wuraola Owolabi who chaired the Directorate of Professional Women for the TinubuShettima and SanwoOluHamzat Independent Campaign Council said, “coming out of our shell in a somewhat risky environment occasioned by recent happenings in Nigeria is imperative to douse the tension of people and let them understand that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu identifies and stands with the them- the people on the issue of Naira re-design and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a loving father that is desirous to rebuild Nigeria of our dream and for the aspiration of the next generation. While there are some merits in the policy, the recent agony, pains experienced by Nigerians and the consequential downward spiralling of our Economy has negated any positive gains the Naira re-design might have, hence, the Directorate call for calm and patience of Nigerians especially those of Lagosians within the next 7 days because Asiwaju has promised to  remake Nigeria for all”.

The Directorate further announced  to residents of GRA Ikeja, Lagos through public address, that Mr. Babajide SanwoOlu will continue to provide more supports, palliatives and reliefs until the will of the common man, the ordinary people prevails.

Some of the highly placed personalities that joined the train included: Mr. Akin Ibesanmi, Director, Office of the DG ICC who was happy to show solidarity and comradeship to the Directorate of Professional Women for being so courageous, passionate and showing loyalty overdose to go out in this raw and gusty time for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Babajide SanwoOlu despite the crisis in the polity.

The cruise of the event was a volunteer of GRA Ikeja, an Australian lady named  Chloe, a self described Tinubuist engaged the train and asked if she could join them in the sensitization to which it was obliged and she cruised with the train till almost the close of working hour describing the professional Women as “super women” and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed “a man of the people” having followed political rallies and campaigns across Nigeria on cable news and online.

Also included in the train within the ranks of the Directorate are: Mrs. Yinka Kenny- Secretary; Mrs. Peace Chikelue, Deputy Director; young female professionals; our most valauable *#HeForShe* professionals and others.
