Members of the Awori Welfare Association of Nigeria (AWAN) paid a solidarity visit on Monday, 3 February, 2025, the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mojisola Lasbat Meranda, reports thegazellenews.com
The delegation was led by Otunba Nurudeen Ojora-Adejiyan, Vice President of AWAN for Lagos Division.
Dr. Adesegun Agbabiaka who spoke on behalf of the Association congratulated the Speaker for being the first Awori to be elected as Speaker describing as a Lagosian per excellence.
While delivering the message of the National President of AWAN, Alhaji Muhammed Ajibola Olagbaye to the Speaker, he reiterated the Association’s commitment to continue to give necessary support to Rt. Hon. Mojisola Meranda and also pray for God’s guidance in steering the wheel of the Lagos State House of Assembly.
In her response, Rt Hon Meranda thanked the leadership of the Association for the solidarity visit and promised an open door policy.
She also told the delegation of her desire to host members of the association at a later date.
