Traders at the Aguda market have appealed to the authorities at Coker-Aguda LCDA to shelve the planned demolition and reconstruction of parts of the market.
They said the plan to redevelop the market will send them parking from their means of livelihood since similar exercise carried out in Tejuosho and Oyingbo markets were counter-productive.
The traders wondered why the exercise must be carried out at this trying times of coronavirus pandemic noting there was no plan to even relocate them by the council authorities.
They appealed to the Governor and well meaning Nigerians to prevail on Coker-Aguda LCDA to halt the planned demolition of the market and focus on action that will impact positively on the lives of the people.
Our Correspondent reports that notice given to some of the traders, whose shops were affected by the planned reconstruction exercise to vacate the market ends today, Tuesday, 8 September, 2020.
