The Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio has said that the 10th Senate is proud of the achievements of President Bola Tinubu since his assumption into office on May 29, 2023.

The Senate President also assured the President that the Red Chamber would continue to give its support to the policies of President Tinubu to ensure the development of the nation

Speaking when the President hosted members of the Senate leadership to Iftar at the Presidential Villa on Wednesday, 12 March, 2025, Akpabio appreciated Tinubu for his support for the legislature.

He also prayed for divine wisdom and good health for the President and the Vice President to sustain their good work in the interest of Nigeria’s development.

Akpabio assured that the Senate is united across party lines to provide the needed drive for the actualization of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

In his address, Vice President Kashim Shettima told the lawmakers that the executive appreciates the cordial relationship existing between the two arms of government.

He said, “We are members of the same family but sleeping in different rooms. We are essentially one people tied to a common destiny. What unites us supersedes whatever it is that divides us.

“We are one big family irrespective of political affiliations, religious persuasions, tribe or sectional background. We will continue to nurture this relationship and take it to greater heights,” Shettima noted.
