The former Special Adviser to Kebbi Governor on Power and Political Affairs, Alhaji Kabiru Sani Giant has declared his intention to contest against serving Kebbi Central Senator, Senator Adamu Aliero under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC), reports thegazellenews.com
Confirming his intention to our correspondent via his Whatsapp page, Giant said he has been in politics for decades but was just supporting others to win political seats but he is putting himself up to salvage Kebbi Central Senatorial District.
Kabiru seeks to end decades of political dominance of the serving Kebbi Central Senator, Adamu Aliero if he wins the primary election.
Giant appeal to Kebbi Central Senatorial District constituents to use ballot to bring positive change to how they are being represented at the Upper Legislative Chamber.
“The time is now to change the baton and to return the legislative duties to young and energetic politicians in Kebbi state,” he said.
His declaration for Kebbi Central Senatorial District seat in the National Assembly has increased political tension in the state as the ruling party brace for a make or mar primaries due to high number of serving and new aspirants vying for various elective posts.
