The Owode Old Motor Spare Parts Dealers Association in Lagos State has declared support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid and the governorship ambition of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Dr Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The association demonstrated its support by donating a branded campaign vehicle, caps, shirts, banners and posters bearing the images of Tinubu and Hamzat to the PBAT/KOH Campaign Council.
The presentation took place on Thursday, 15 October, 2026, at the APC Campaign Secretariat in GRA, Ikeja, where the association’s delegation was received by the Deputy Director-General of the PBAT/KOH Campaign Council, Rasaq Ajala.
Speaking during the presentation, the association’s President, Isiaka Orilowo Abdullahi, said the gesture was motivated by the performance of APC-led administrations at the federal and state levels.
Abdullahi pledged that the association would mobilise its members to vote for Tinubu, Hamzat and other APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.
He disclosed that the association had already commenced door-to-door mobilisation to canvass support for the party’s candidates, adding that members would intensify their grassroots engagement ahead of the polls.

According to him, the donation of campaign materials was part of the association’s efforts to demonstrate its commitment to the party and contribute to the success of its candidates in the forthcoming elections.
Receiving the delegation and the donated items, Ajala thanked the association for its support, describing the contribution as a demonstration of confidence in the APC and its candidates.
He highlighted the Tinubu administration’s policies and reform agenda, particularly its investments in infrastructure and education, which he said were aimed at stimulating economic activities and promoting national development.
Ajala cited major road projects, including the Sokoto-Badagry Road and the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, as examples of the Federal Government’s infrastructure investments. He said such projects were expected to improve connectivity, facilitate the movement of goods and services, and create opportunities for businesses and communities.

The campaign council official also commended Tinubu for establishing the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), which provides financial assistance to eligible students pursuing higher education in approved tertiary institutions.
He said the initiative was an important intervention to ease the financial burden of tertiary education on students and their families.
Ajala urged the spare parts dealers to sustain and expand their mobilisation efforts by reaching eligible voters across their communities and encouraging them to support Tinubu, Hamzat and other APC candidates in Lagos State.
He stressed the importance of grassroots participation in election campaigns, noting that sustained engagement with residents and eligible voters would be crucial to the party’s efforts ahead of the 2027 elections.

The association’s donation of the campaign vehicle and other materials adds to its stated commitment to supporting the APC’s electoral campaign, while its planned door-to-door mobilisation is expected to focus on reaching voters within and beyond the Owode Onirin motor spare parts trading community along Ikorodu road, Lagos.
