The Senator representing Bauchi South Senatorial District in the Upper Legislative Chamber, Senator Shehu Buba Umar has held a Special Meeting with Shura Council of Bauchi State Muslim parliament and Stakeholders of the Allah Progressive Congress APC and his supporters after Party Congress and pledged to support them to educate their followers to obtain Permanent Voters Card PVC.
A Special Meeting with Ulama Council held at Sulgad Hotel was attended by prominent Islamic Scholars and Imam of Jumma’at Mosques that included the Chief Imam of Bauchi Jumma’at Mosque Imam Bala Ahmad Baban Inna, Dr Bashir Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi , Imam Dr Fatihi Sheikh Dahiru, Dr Ibrahim Disina, Sheikh Shu’aibu Sambo Luti, Sheikh Muhammad Rabi’u Jordan, and other clerics from all Islamic sects and Muslims Associations in the State
The Chairman of Shura Council, Sheikh Yusuf Abdullahi Jahun, commended the imams and clerics for attending the meeting and commended Senator Buba for executing projects that has direct bearing to the life of the people and Pray to Allah to reward him abundantly.
Sheikh Yusuf praised Senator Shehu Buba Umar for his representation of the people of Bauchi South, citing his charitable works and support for the people of Bauchi State as a whole.
The Shura Council, which comprises of scholars and imams from all sects of Islam including Darika, Izala and Shia in Bauchi State, where the leaders of the meeting delivered speeches and papers on the importance of good leadership and serving the community.
They commended the Senator for building several mosques, Islamic Schools, human empowerment, feeding the poor and less privilege , payment of scholarships and tuition fees to many students and Pray to Allah reward him and answer his prayers .
They expressed satisfaction with the expertise, compassion, and care for the community that the Senator displays, stating that such qualities show that he is qualified to continue leading for the development of the community.
The scholars prayed to Allah Almighty to continue to grant him good health and success, and hoped that Allah would enable him to continue serving the community with ease and success in the future.
Senator Shehu Buba Umar said the aim of the meeting was to thank the Almighty Allah for successful completion of Ramadan fasting and Eid-l-Fitri celebration.
He expressed gratitude to the organization for the support they have been giving him.and advised them to educate their followers to obtain their permanent voters card ahead of the 2027 general election.
Senator Buba pledged his office support in mobilising their followers excise their civic rights and pledged to continue meeting with clerics who are light and guides of the society.
He donated ten million naira (₦10,000,000) to support the activities of the organization’s committee.
Similarly Senator representing Bauchi South Senatorial District, Senator Shehu Buba Umar has reaffirmed his intention to contest the Bauchi Governorship seat, within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general election.
Addressing stakeholders, in Yimir Hotel Bauchi , Senator Buba assured his supporters that he is so much ready to contest and win the Party Primary election ” insisting that he remains firmly in the race and committed to providing effective leadership for the people of Bauchi State
He expressed confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and their Party APC would ensure a level playing field for all aspirants within the party.
Senator Shehu Buba called for strict adherence to democratic principles, urging the APC leadership to conduct free, fair, and transparent primaries.
He emphasized that party stakeholders should be allowed to choose candidates based on merit and capacity according to the rules of the Party
He appealed to party members and supporters to remain calm amid ongoing speculations, assuring them of his continued commitment to the contest.
Senator Shehu Buba said all major stakeholders and gubernatorial aspirants from the party are united.
In his contribution special adviser media to the Senator Comrade sabo Mohammed said the aim of the meeting is to congratulate the newly elected state executive, seek for unity and assured supporters that he is still in the race and is fully committed to win the Party Governorship ticket.
Comrade sabo said the Senator has been called by majority of the people of the State to contest for the seat because of his sterling examplary leadership qualities .
Many speakers at the meeting spoke on the issue of consensus candidacy, and clearly explained that such an arrangement must be reached through broad consultation involving all aspirants.
They pledged to respect the outcome of the party primaries, provided they are conducted in line with due process and the party’s constitution, while reaffirming their loyalty to the APC.
They said that senator Buba ambition is driven by a desire to deliver people-oriented leadership to the people of Bauchi State.
