The former Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Sabit Adeyemi Ikuforiji has urged Lagos residents yet to pick up their PVCs to do so now that the distribution is closer to their homes.

He also called on Lagosians and Nigerians in particular to ensure they cast their votes for all the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC), with particular reference to the party’s Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu; and the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.

Rt Hon Ikuforiji also urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to deploy more logistics to ensure seamless collection of the cards and collaborate with Community Development Associations and traditional rulers in order to remove bottlenecks encountered by the people in collecting the PVCs

The former Speaker in a statement issued in Lagos appealed to residents to remain resolute on the collection of their PVCs since without it they cannot take part in the general elections.

Ikuforiji, a member of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council Contact and Mobilisation Committee appealed to residents to vote enmasse for all the party’s candidates in general and in particular the Presidential Candidate of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.

“Asiwaju Tinubu knows the terrain, he knows the way and he has the experience. He has been tested and he has delivered, he will take Nigeria to greater height,” the longest serving Speaker in the history of the Lagos State House of Assembly said.

He assured that the people of Ikeja and Epe Federal Constituencies are going into the election with one voice in support of Asiwaju Tinubu and renewal of the mandate of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

According to Ikuforiji, “it’s indeed a pay back time for Asiwaju Tinubu having supported the party and candidates at all levels since the return of Democratic Rule in 1999 till date in the country”.

The Presidential and the National Assembly Elections will hold on Saturday, 25 February, while that of Governorship and State Assembly poll holds on Saturday, 11 March, 2023.
