The Nigerian Navy disclosed that its troops of Operation Delta Sanity have intercepted and arrested three suspects conveying 125 bags of industrial chemicals, 820 tubes of pethidine, and 22,800 bottles of Codeine in a large wooden boat around Bendoyo and Uta Uyata general area, Akwa Ibom State.
The Nigerian Navy made this disclosure in a statement on its verified Facebook page on Monday, 2 December, 2024.
“On Monday 25 November 2024, Forward Operating Base IBAKA intercepted and arrested 3 suspects conveying 125 bags of industrial chemicals, 820 tubes of pethidine, and 22,800 bottles of Codeine in a large wooden boat around Bendoyo and Uta Uyata general area, Akwa Ibom State,” the Navy said.

“Consequently, on Wednesday 27 November 2024, the suspects were handed over to personnel of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency Maritime Unit, Oron, Akwa Ibom State,” the statement said.
