Stakeholders and members of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ede South Local Government Area of Osun State have expressed their commitment, dedication and resolve to unseat Governor Ademola Adeleke in the 2026 governorship election in the state through their votes, reports thegazellenews.com
This was the decision taken when members of the AMBO Grassrooters, a support group for the actualisation of the governorship ambition of former Secretary to the State Government, Bola Oyebamiji visited the council on sensitisation tour.

The meeting was held on Wednesday, 14 May, 2025 at the Ede country home of the incumbent Governor.
The Director General of the group, Hon. Oloyede Adekunle, described Oyebamiji as a charismatic and competent aspirant who is deeply rooted in progressive politics because he is a thoroughly bred politician. According to him, Oyebamiji is also armed with fundamentals and dynamics of Osun politics through exemplary representation and good governance.

He said Oyebamiji served twice as the Commissioner for Finance without any anti-graft case on his neck and presently serving as MD/CEO of a reputable Federal Government agency-National Inland Waterways Authority.

“AMBO’s vision for Osun aligns with the renewed hope agenda and change mantra of President Bola Amhed Tinubu led Administration. It is therefore necessary to align with the political struggle to reclaim Osun for APC through one man one vote without blood lettings, political rascality and brigandage, arson so that Osun State can be one of the major beneficiaries of the Federal Government intervention and developmental plans”, Oloyede stated.
Hon. Imran Adekoyejo who represented APC Ede South Leaders Council Chairman, Elder Johnson Ojo, tasked the AMBO team on addressing issue-based campaigns without bitterness.
He charged party faithful to shun campaign of calumny, names calling, insults and divisive propaganda without verifiable facts and figures. He stated that the party is poised to win the 2026 governorship election, therefore there is the need to do away with vices that would compromise and reduce the chances of the landslide electoral victory of the party.
