The African Democratic Congress (ADC), has disclosed that it’s too early to decide who becomes its 2027 presidential candidate among the trio of former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate in the last general elections, Peter Obi; and former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Ameachi, reports thegazellenews.com.
ADC interim National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, made this disclosure while speaking with newsmen in Abuja on Saturday, 26 July, 2025.

Abdullahi, who said the party is focused on building a strong political party, added that the said the ADC has no preferred presidential candidate.
He said: “We don’t have any favourite aspirants or candidates. We are not having any conversation at the moment.
“Nobody has ever had any conversation about who will be the party’s flag bearer.
“We believe that it is too early in the day. Our focus now is to build a political party that is strong enough to deliver on the mission that we have set for ourselves.”
Currently, three names are rumoured to be interested in ADC’s presidential ticket, and these are Abubakar, Obi, and Amaechi.
Despite permutations, the three key members of the coalition are yet to make public their presidential ambitions.
