Today, I celebrate not just a statesman, but a true childhood friend, a brother in every sense of the word — a man whose journey from our childhood days to the national stage has been nothing short of inspiring.
Koro, you are a symbol of strength, courage, and loyalty. From Lagos Island to the diplomatic corridors of the world, and the chambers of national leadership, you have served with a deep sense of duty, vision, and commitment to the greater good. Your achievements, both in public service and in private life, are a testament to your resilience and the grace of Almighty Allah upon your life.

But beyond titles and accomplishments, it is your heart that I cherish most — a heart that gives, supports, and never forgets.
Your presence and support during my daughter’s wedding meant the world to me and my entire family. May Allah reward you abundantly for standing by us. That act of love is something I will never forget.

Today, as you mark another chapter in your blessed life, I raise my hands in prayer for you:
**اللهم احفظه بحفظك، وأكرمه بكرمك، ووفقه في الدنيا والآخرة، واجعل له نوراً في قلبه، وبركةً في عمله، وراحةً في نفسه، وارزقه السعادة التامة، والعافية الدائمة، والقبول في الأرض والسماء.**
Allahumma ihfazhu bihifzika, wa akrimhu bikaramik, wa waffiqhu fid-dunya wal-akhirah, waj‘al lahu nooran fi qalbihi, wa barakatan fi ‘amalihi, wa raahatan fi nafsihi, warzuqhu as-sa‘adah at-taammah, wal-‘aafiyah ad-daa’imah, wal-qabool fil-ard wa fis-sama’.
Translation:
O Allah, protect him with Your protection, honor him with Your generosity, grant him success in this life and the Hereafter. Place light in his heart, blessing in his work, and peace in his soul. Grant him complete happiness, lasting health, and acceptance both on Earth and in the heavens.
May your wisdom continue to inspire generations. May your legacy be long remembered. And may Allah continue to raise you in rank, shower you with His mercy, and keep you surrounded by love, family, and loyal friends.
Thank you Omobami, for being a man of compassion, and enduring strength.
May this new year bring you even greater peace, purpose, and divine prosperity.
Ameen Ya Rabb.
