The Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), joined hundreds of Nigerians in a Democracy Day Solidarity March held in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Renewed Hope Agenda.

Also in attendance were the Vice Chairman of Ojodu Local Council Development Area, Alhaja Kafayat Funmilayo Layeni (KFL); and the President of Team Nigeria for Change, Otunba Bestman Nze-Jumbo, who led hundreds of members of his organization to the event.

Dauda, who mobilized hundreds of Ikeja residents and APC members for the solidarity walk, commended President Tinubu for granting financial autonomy to local governments, describing it as a landmark achievement that has accelerated development and improved service delivery at the grassroots level.

He urged Nigerians to continue supporting the President, expressing confidence that the nation is on the path to recovery, growth, and sustainable development.
Other speakers at the event highlighted several achievements of the Renewed Hope Administration, including the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, the Badagry-Sokoto Highway, the Student Loan Scheme, free technical education initiatives, and other people-oriented programmes aimed at improving the lives of Nigerians.

Speaking on security, Otunba Bestman Nze-Jumbo, an alternative security expert, noted that government at all levels must remain proactive in addressing security challenges. He expressed optimism that the successes being recorded in recent times would be sustained, assuring Nigerians that the Tinubu administration remains committed to safeguarding lives and property across the country.
The event concluded with special prayers for the safe return of abducted schoolchildren and all other victims of kidnapping across the nation, while participants reaffirmed their commitment to democracy, peace, and national development.
