The House of Representatives member representing Agege Federal Constituency, Honourable Wale Ahmed, praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his rare display of courage and resilience for his bravery and resilience in his determined efforts to make Nigeria reach greater heights, reports thegazellenews.com
Honourable Ahmed spoke at the weekend during a stakeholder forum he organised to brief his constituents on his performance so far at the Green Chamber.

According to him, it takes only a man of great courage to be able to remove fuel subsidy and also put some reforms in places.
“These policies have resulted in unification of our foreign reserve, and reduction in inflation. I want to appeal to Nigerians to have more faith in the President because the reforms are working, food prices have so far crashed, and will still crash more,” he assured.
He reeled out major programmes and projects of the President noting that they have been put in place to improve the standard of living of Nigerians and enhance their welfare.
Such programmes and projects, according to him, to include but not limited to: the Lagos-Calabar coastal highway; the Sokoto-Badagry expressway; the Students’ Loan; increment of minimum wage from N30,000 – N70,000; increments of NYSC allowances from N33,000 to N77,000 and loans to farmers among others.
Speaking on his performance, Honourable Ahmed stated that he has embarked on huge empowerment programmes for traders and youths in Agege Federal Constituency.
Such empowerment programmes include: distribution of food palliatives to residents, free medical outreach programmes, distribution of cash, donation of writing materials to students, vocational trainings for youths with start up capital of N200,000, and free distribution of flour to bakers in the area.
The lawmaker has also facilitated the construction of all season equipment at Anwar-ul-Islam College, Agege, the products of which will be distributed to residents free.
He has also facilitated the installation of 250 solar street light across the Federal Constituency while also ensuring the distributions of fertilizer to farmers through the FADAMA Initiative.
Hon Ahmed promised to do more for his constituency while urging the council chairmen in the two council areas to be accessible to the people.
“You were elected into the office for a purpose, hence you should not forget the people who elected you into power,” he said.
