Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed of Bauchi State has raised concerns over attempts by certain individuals to sabotage the forthcoming Bauchi International Investment Summit scheduled for 8th and 9th October 2025, describing them as enemies of progress who are bent on disrupting the peace and development of the state.

The Governor gave the warning while presiding over the State Executive Council (SEC) meeting on Monday, 6 October, 2025, at the Government House, Bauchi, stressing that the government will not tolerate any act capable of undermining the peaceful conduct and success of the high-profile investment gathering.
He described the summit as a milestone initiative aimed at showcasing Bauchi’s investment potential, emphasizing that saboteurs will face decisive action from security agencies and the government to protect the event’s integrity.
Governor Bala Mohammed charged council members and citizens to remain vigilant and act as policemen by reporting suspicious activities that could disrupt the state’s efforts to attract both local and foreign investors.
According to him, members of the council must be watchful and proactive, there are people trying to undermine government efforts just for political reasons as the state prepares to host investors and development partners at the summit.
He noted that the meeting’s agenda was rich with far-reaching policy discussions and not just contracts, stressing that the council’s primary responsibility is to design ideas and programmes that will strengthen governance and leave behind enduring legacies of good practice and transparency.
The Governor described the upcoming investment summit as the first of its kind since the inception of his administration, urging commissioners and other officials to take full ownership of the event and ensure its success.
He expressed gratitude to members of the State Assembly, contractors, and the public for their cooperation and continued support to the government.
Governor Bala also commended members of the press for their dedication in covering government projects across the state, describing their efforts as a mark of sacrifice and commitment to public enlightenment.
