The Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University, Professor Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, has congratulated Professor Olufemi Adebowale Abass on his appointment as the incoming Director-General and Head of Mission of the West African Insurance Institute.

The congratulatory message was conveyed on behalf of the management, staff and entire university community following the appointment of Professor Abass, who currently serves as Acting Director of LASU Ventures Limited.

The appointment to the regional institute, based in Banjul, The Gambia, was described by the university as a recognition of his years of dedication to academia, research and professional practice within the insurance and financial services sector.

Professor Abass, a Professor of Risk Management and Insurance, was praised for his extensive experience in teaching, research and industry practice.
