Following the success of Chaos in the Ring, Lagos has reaffirmed its ambition to become Africa’s leading sports entertainment hub, with the Director General of the Lagos State Sports Commission, Mr Lekan Fatodu, @lf_thechamp saying the state will continue to create opportunities that drive investment, tourism, and economic growth through sports.
Speaking at the boxing spectacle held at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Victoria Island, Fatodu praised Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his steadfast commitment to sports development, describing his support as the catalyst for Lagos’ emergence as Nigeria’s premier destination for major sporting events.
He also commended Balmoral Group Promotions and its Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Ezekiel Adamu, for delivering a world-class event, noting that ‘Chaos in the Ring’ demonstrated the growing commercial potential of sports entertainment and the value of strong public and private sector collaboration.
