Agege stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), led by the Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation, Dr Kayode Opeifa, and a former member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Yinka Ogundimu, convened an interfaith prayer session seeking divine victory for the party’s candidates ahead of the forthcoming elections.

The gathering was held on Saturday, 19 September, 2026, at 59, Oyewole Road, Railway Compound, Mulero, Agege, Lagos, bringing together Islamic and Christian clerics, party leaders, elders, ward executives, and members of the youth and women wings in a show of unity and faith.

The highlight of the event was the intense interfaith prayers offered by the clerics, who committed the APC, its leadership and all its candidates into the hands of God, praying for peace and landslide victory for the party.

Among the prominent leaders present were Opeifa and Ogundimu, alongside a former Chairman of Orile-Agege LCDA, Hon. Adeshina, and other top stakeholders.

The stakeholders specially presented and prayed for President Bola Tinubu, the APC candidate seeking re-election as President; Hon. Dr Obafemi Hamzat (KOH), the party’s candidate for Lagos State Governor; Hon. Idiat Oluranti Adebule, APC candidate for Lagos West Senatorial District; Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, APC candidate for the Agege Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives; Hon. Oluwagbenga Abiola Omaco (Agbelebu), APC candidate for Agege Constituency 01; and Hon. Sakiru Sule Enimakure, APC candidate for Agege Constituency 02, seeking God’s favour, protection and victory for them at the polls.

In his remarks, Opeifa stressed that the APC remains one united family in Agege, insisting that with prayers, unity and hard work, victory is certain for all its candidates from top to bottom.

“APC remains one united family in Agege, and with prayers, unity and hard work, victory is certain for all APC candidates from top to bottom,” he said.

Other leaders at the event urged party members to return to their wards and polling units to mobilise massively, ensuring that Agege delivers block votes for the APC.

The event ended with fervent prayers for peace, progress and continued development in Agege, Lagos State and Nigeria at large.
