A Magistrate Court in Sagamu, Ogun State, has sentenced a 26-year-old man to three years imprisonment for stealing a solar-powered streetlight along the Sagamu Interchange Expressway.
The convict, Anthony Cephas, was arrested at about 9:00pm on Friday, 30 October, 2026 and arraigned by the Sagamu Police Division on Monday, 2 November, 2026.
The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, made this disclosure in a statement, saying his conviction followed a diligent investigation and subsequent arraignment before a court on 2 November 2026, “where he was convicted and sentenced to three years’ imprisonment.”
