The Chairman of the Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi has charged leaders of the party in the state to ensure that they deliver their polling units in the coming general elections, reports thegazellenews.com
Ojelabi gave this charge during his opening remarks at a One-day Retreat for Directors and leadership of the PBAT/KOH Campaign Council taking place in Lagos on Monday, 19 October, 2026.
According to Ojelabi, there is a need to monitor the performance of the leaders in the polling units where they cast their votes.
He stated that this is needed to monitor and ascertain the personal political influence of leaders in their respective political areas.
According to him, in the past, performance was based on the general outcome of the elections which has given some leaders to abdicate their roles of canvassing and mobilising for support and votes for the party.
Ojelabi stated that he had directed Chairmen and leaders in the 20 Local Governments and 37 local council development areas to compile the polling units and indicate the respective unit of leaders of the party in the state.
