Bodex Media has announced that the Students’ Day of the seventh edition of Bodex Social Media Hangout (BSMH) will take place on Thursday, 10 December, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Distance Learning Institute Hall, University of Lagos.

The event will host 3,000 students from nine tertiary institutions and eleven secondary schools across Lagos, bringing young minds together for learning, creativity, competition and entertainment.

Themed “Influence with Purpose: Shaping Africa’s Digital Future,” BSMH 7.0 will equip participants with the knowledge, creativity and confidence to engage responsibly on digital platforms and explore opportunities within the digital economy.

Following six editions held between 2019 and 2025, the Hangout returns with debates, quiz competitions, practical digital media masterclasses and a campaign deck challenge. Students will prepare and present campaign decks, demonstrating their ability to turn creative ideas into compelling communication strategies.

Cash prizes totalling ₦2.2 million will be awarded: ₦1 million for first place, ₦700,000 for second place and ₦500,000 for third place. The student with the best campaign deck will also receive a brand-new phone in addition to their cash prize.

Convened by Bodex Hungbo, PR and digital media strategist and Founder of Bodex Media, the event creates opportunities for students to learn from industry professionals, showcase their talents and build connections across institutions.

Beyond the learning and competitions, participants can expect interactive games, raffle draws, giveaways, certificates of participation and surprise attractions throughout the day. Food, drinks and small chops from Bodex Foods will complete an experience designed to be engaging, memorable and fun.

With purposeful influence at its centre, BSMH 7.0 invites students to discover how their ideas, skills and voices can contribute to Africa’s digital future.
