A Nigerian woman identified as Bisola has reportedly called out her ex-husband, Abbey, accusing him of deceiving her about his genotype before they got married.
According to Bisola, she informed Abbey from the beginning of their relationship that she was living with sickle cell disease (SS). She reportedly asked about his genotype, and he assured her that he was AA.
Four months into their relationship, Bisola insisted that they visit a hospital to confirm his genotype. Abbey allegedly presented a test result showing that he was AA, which made her believe there was no risk.
However, when Bisola became pregnant, she reportedly requested that Abbey accompany her to the hospital during her antenatal visits so they could reconfirm his genotype.
Unfortunately, he allegedly became angry whenever she raised the issue.
Things reportedly took a different turn after she gave birth. Bisola alleged that Abbey became abusive, physically assaulting and maltreating her.
The situation allegedly affected her mental health so badly that she became depressed and resorted to injecting herself in the leg as a way of coping with her emotional struggles.
Unable to endure the alleged domestic violence, especially while managing sickle cell disease, Bisola eventually left Abbey’s home and returned to her parents’ house with their child.
Sadly, another painful discovery awaited her.
According to her account, their son later became seriously ill and was rushed to the hospital. When doctors asked about the child’s genotype, Bisola explained that she believed he was AS because she was SS and Abbey had told her he was AA.
However, after conducting another test, the result reportedly showed that their son was SS.
The discovery left Bisola devastated. She immediately began contacting Abbey, demanding an explanation for why he had allegedly misrepresented his genotype.
To make matters worse, she reportedly discovered that Abbey had moved on and married another woman.
Bisola further claims that Abbey has abandoned both her and their son. She also said that she has developed a leg ulcer, which she associates with her previous injections.
Today, her appeal is not for Abbey to return to her or take care of her. Instead, she is pleading with him to take responsibility for their son and provide the support the child needs.
