The Coordinator for the Lagos State All Progressives Congress (APC) PBAT/KOH Campaign Council for Orile-Agege Local Council Development Area, Honourable Oluyinka Ogundimu has inaugurated the Apex Body and Local Government campaign committee for the council reports thegazellenews.com
Thegazellenews.com reports further that the inauguration of the two bodies took place on Wednesday, 5 November, 2026 at the former lawmaker’s constituency office in Orile Road, Agege.
Speaking at the event, Ogundimu stated that the two bodies were set up to ginger campaign activities in the council area.
According to him, the Apex Body which included the likes of: the two House of Assembly Candidates: Micheal Oluwagbenga Abiola, Constituency I; and Shakiru Akindele Enimakure, Constituency II; former House of Representatives member, Honourable Taofeek Abiodun Adaranijo; member of the House of Assembly representing Agege Constituency II, Alhaji Jubreel Abdul Kareem; Barrister Ade Jombo; Sesanfunmi Adegbite; Sola Osolana and Baamofin Tunji Akinyemi among others, would serve as the Advisory Council while the Local Government body would be involved in the day-to-day campaign activities in the council area.
“With the inauguration today, we have formally launched campaign activities in Orile-Agege. Go into the nooks and crannies of this council and engage the people on the need to vote for APC candidates in the coming election right from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Dr Kadir Obafemi Hamzat, Senator Idiat Oluranti Adebule, RT Honourable Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, Gbenga Abiola and Shakiru Akindele Enimakure. Engage the people peacefully, we don’t need to fight, we have the candidates we can be proud of,” he said.
Ogundimu also warned those in attendance against engaging in Anti-party activities which he noted can be disastrous if caught.
“The party is supreme and no member is above the party. Don’t engage in anti-party activities, the party will not take it lightly with any member who engage in anti-party activities.
“You should also act as whistle blowers, please report with evidence, any member who engages in anti-party activities,” he said.
Honourables Adaranijo, Abdul Kareem and the two candidates who all spoke at the event, urged members of the campaign teams to the task as one that should not be treated with levity. They urged them to engage the people and ensure that APC not only come out tops with massive votes in Agege Federal Constituency but that it also recorded highest number of votes for the party in the state during the coming General Elections.
