Popular journalist, Comrade Adewale Lateef Ojeleye has officially declared his intention to contest in the 2027 general elections, following the collection of the Expression of Interest and Nomination Form of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency 01 seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly.

The form was obtained on Friday, 1 May, 2026, at the APC secretariat, signaling the formal commencement of his aspiration to represent the people of Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency 01.

Speaking after collecting the form, Comrade Ojeleye expressed his strong commitment to delivering purposeful representation, fostering grassroots development, and promoting inclusive governance. He highlighted his dedication to addressing the needs of constituents through effective legislation and community engagement.

“This step reflects my unwavering commitment to serve the good people of Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency 01. I am determined to provide responsive leadership, champion the interests of our people, and contribute to the continued growth and development of Lagos State,” he stated.

He also expressed appreciation to party leaders, stakeholders, and supporters for their encouragement and trust, while calling for unity and collective effort within the APC as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum.

Comrade Ojeleye’s declaration is expected to galvanize support across the constituency and deepen political participation ahead of the forthcoming elections.
