Ahead of the Super Eagles World Cup qualifiers campaign, football stakeholders have continued to express optimism on the chances of the team to edge their group opponents to the 2026 World Cup ticket.

Speaking with journalists in Lagos, Senior Special Assistant on Grassroots Sports to the Minister of Sports Development, Hon. Anthony Adeyinka Adeboye, expressed confidence in the abilities of the Super Eagles to defeat Lesotho and other oppositions to the ticket.

“This present Super Eagles is loaded with unbelievable talents and with the wherewithal to take all oppositions to the cleaners,” Adeboye remarked.

According to the experienced sports administrator, the Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Owan Enoh, is equally optimistic of the abilities of the Super Eagles to make Nigeria proud.

“The Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Owan Enoh believes so much that the Super Eagles are ready and would make Nigeria proud, by qualifying for the World Cup.

“That Nigeria didn’t not make it to the last World Cup in Qatar, was heartbreaking. This shall be a successful campaign for Nigeria, because, we all have learnt from our mistakes. And the Sports Minister is solidly behind the NFF and the team in this campaign,” Adeboye added confidently.
