Turkish football giants, Fenerbahce Sports Club on Friday, 29 August, 2025 confirmed that it has sacked controversial Portuguese manager, Jose Mourinho, a former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss, who took over at the beginning of the 2024/2025 season, reports thegazellenews.com.
The club confirmed the exit of the Portuguese tactician through a statement issued on Friday, 29 August, 2025 on its official X account.
”We have parted ways with Jose Mourinho, who has been the manager of our Professional Football A Team since the 2024-2025 season. We thank him for his efforts for our team and wish him success in his future career, ” the statement read.
Mourinho, 62, joined Fenerbahce in June 2024.
However, his spell ended prematurely after a mixed run of results in domestic and European competitions.
