The President of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote has vowed that the firm will surpass multiple barriers to exceed $30 billion in revenue generation by the end of 2025.

Dangote disclosed this in a statement issued on Thursday, 12 September, 2024 by Dangote Group.

The richest African billionaire businessman made the vow while speaking at the just concluded African Renaissance Retreat held in Kigali, Rwanda capital.

Dangote, who charged African business leaders to take take the lead in transforming the continent, explained that despite significant challenges besetting Africa, its youthful population and abundant resources, including about 30 percent of the world’s mineral reserves and the largest reserves of gold, cobalt, uranium, platinum, and diamonds, offer opportunities for substantial and inclusive growth.

According to him, despite dealing with hydrant challenges such as visas, inconsistent change in government policies, inadequate technical talent, lack of critical infrastructure, foreign exchange crises, inflation, cost of capital and other conflicts of differing dimensions, the Dangote Group has expanded from Nigeria to 14 countries across the continent, spanning multiple sectors from cement to fertilizers, sugar to oil refineries, petrochemicals, agriculture and more.

“The good news is that despite these challenges, we have succeeded in building a pan-African Group that employs over 50,000 people and generates revenues that should exceed $30bn by the end of 2025,” the billionaire businessman said.

This comes as plans gear up to commence the supply of Premium Motor Spirit at the $20 billion Dangote Refinery on Sunday, 15 September, 2024.

Earlier in September, the African richest man had officially announced the rollout of petrol from his refinery.

However, the refinery is yet to unveil its petrol pricing.

Recall that local petrol marketers on Thursday, 12 September, 2024 said that they are ready to patronize the firm if the price is not more than they currently buy the product.
