The National Headquarters of the Offa Students Union (OSU) has thrown its weight behind the Chairman of the Federal Character Commission (FCC), Dr. Muheeba Dankaka over the alleged job racketeering at the Commission.
The Union also pleaded with the National Assembly (NASS) to leave no stone unturned in unveiling the real perpetrators of the crime.
The Union affirmed its support for Dr Dankaka noting that its investigations have revealed that the FCC Chairman is not guilty of the allegations against her.
“Throughout her tenure, Dr. Muheeba Farida Dankaka has demonstrated exceptional leadership and professionalism, working tirelessly to implement policies that strengthen the nation’s unity and promote inclusivity. Her efforts have been instrumental in fostering national cohesion and bridging existing gaps in the distribution of resources,” the Union said.
This was contained in a statement issued by National President the Union, Sulaiman Abdullahi Olaide titled “Vindication of the Chairman of Federal Character Commission from Allegations of Job Racketeering” on Sunday, 30th of July, 2023.
The full statement reads: “We, at the Offa Students’ Union National Headquarters, would like to address the recent allegations of job racketeering leveled against Dr. Muheeba Dankaka, the esteemed Chairman of the Federal Character Commission (FCC) of Nigeria.
“After careful investigation and consideration of the available facts, we find it necessary to clarify our stance on the matter. We firmly stand by Dr. Muheeba Farida Dankaka, upholding her integrity and strong commitment to the betterment and development of our nation.
“Dr. Muheeba Farida Dankaka has a long-standing reputation as a philanthropist dedicated to effectively promoting the principles of fairness, equity, and justice in the allocation of public resources and job opportunities across the country. She has played a pivotal role in ensuring that every Nigerian, regardless of their origin or background, has equal access to opportunities and benefits.
“Throughout her tenure, Dr. Muheeba Farida Dankaka has demonstrated exceptional leadership and professionalism, working tirelessly to implement policies that strengthen the nation’s unity and promote inclusivity. Her efforts have been instrumental in fostering national cohesion and bridging existing gaps in the distribution of resources.
“It is regrettable that baseless allegations have been made against her character and administration. We categorically assert that these claims are unfounded and lack evidence. As an organization representing the voice of students, we firmly believe in the importance of fairness and due process, and we are confident that any investigation into this matter will vindicate Dr. Muheeba Farida Dankaka from these baseless accusations.
